Using a nasopharyngeal swab test, can the test result come out so quickly?
Sampling: Take a nasopharyngeal swab from the patient

The samples currently used for H7N9 testing are mainly nasopharyngeal swabs from patients.

When collecting the nasal swab, keep the patient's head as still as possible, gently rotate the polyester fiber head swab, slowly insert it into the patient's nostril to the jaw, stay for a few seconds to absorb the secretions, gently rotate to take out the swab, and place it in the sampler. Tube, break the plastic handle at the contact part of the hand, soak the swab into the sampling solution, and tighten the tube cap.

Transportation process: sealed, refrigerated storage

The samples should be sealed and frozen during transportation to ensure the safety of the samples and prevent loss or leakage, so as to avoid pollution to the environment. Experts said that the extracted samples need to be sealed, generally placed in a special transport box for refrigerated storage, and the temperature is between 4 °C and 8 °C.

Time required for detection: rapid detection results in 3-5 hours
