According to a CNN report, the FDA has approved the emergency use of the first over-the-counter home new coronavirus detection system. Users over 18 can buy it and use it at home.

The FDA said that the new coronavirus detection system produced by U.S. Holding Laboratories which allows people over the age of 18 to purchase it. Users can collect nasal swab samples at home and then submit them to U.S. Holding Laboratories for testing. The test result will be notified to the user by phone or email.

In November, the FDA has approved the emergency use of the first home rapid detection tool for new coronaviruses produced by the California manufacturer "Lucilla Medical", which can give test results within 30 minutes, but requires a prescription before it can be purchased.
